Kernl pulls what matters. Beebo reads it to you.
Beebo isn’t a feed. It’s your host. It picks up when you call, briefs you on what matters, and stops talking the moment you cut in with a question. Skip headlines, ask why, hear the counter-take. Your news, your pace, your voice.
The digest tells you what. The call tells you why.
Headlines, sources, the day's Split. All in writing, in your inbox at 7am. Made to skim over the day. But the depth lives on the call: "tell me more", "why now", "who said that". The email's the menu. The briefing's the meal.
Coffee in one hand, Beebo in the other.
Calling Beebo while prepping breakfast and heading out. You listen. You interrupt. You ask why. Mic stays open the whole call. Say "tell me more" or "skip this" any time.
Lunch with colleagues. Something came up.
Conversation drifted to the Fed decision and you realized you only half-followed it. You text "Brief me on the Fed decision". Beebo queues a custom briefing for your next call.
Apple Q3 in 15 minutes. You need to be ready.
Quick pre-meeting catch-up. Text "Catch me up on Apple Q3 earnings" and Beebo calls back with a 60-second briefing. Walk into the room sharp, not scrolling at the door.
Headphones in. Brief in your ear.
On the train home you call Beebo. Your queued Fed brief plays first, followed by the day's added digest: three new stories from your sources you'd missed since the morning. End-of-day, not start-of-day, on your terms.
FAQ
How much does Kernl cost?
Free to start: a 15-minute call plus a daily email digest, no card needed. Paid plans run from $8.99 to $59.99 per month for more minutes, sources, and channels. See the pricing page for the full breakdown.
How is Beebo different from a podcast or news app?
A podcast gives you one show, on someone else's schedule. A news app gives you a feed to scroll. Beebo gives you a briefing: minutes, not hours; hundreds of sources, not one; conversational, not passive. You ask follow-ups, skip stories, hear the counter-take. The news adapts to you, not the other way around.
Where does Beebo get the news from?
Hundreds of sources spanning news outlets (Reuters, AP, BBC, NYT, Le Monde, Guardian, FT, Bloomberg, WSJ), podcasts, YouTube channels, research papers via OpenAlex, longform newsletters, and (soon) X. Plus your favorite creators when you add them. We distill and credit each source. We never republish original audio. Adjust your sources any time by texting SETUP.
Is the news AI-generated? Can I trust it?
The summaries are AI-generated; the underlying news is from real journalists. We use Claude (by Anthropic) to distill original reporting from your selected sources, never to invent stories. Every cluster links back to its sources so you can verify. The Split™ shows how different outlets framed the same story so you hear the spread, not the spin.
What happens if I exceed my minutes?
You’ll get an SMS notification when you’re close to your monthly limit. From there, you can text UPGRADE to bump up your plan instantly, or simply wait for the new month. Your minutes reset on the same day every month.
Can I cancel anytime?
Absolutely. Text CANCEL to your Kernl number or email us at [email protected]. There are no contracts, no penalties, and no awkward retention calls. Your access continues until the end of your current billing period.
Does yearly billing save me money?
Yes. Yearly billing saves up to ~17% versus paying monthly. Standard is $89.99/year (vs $107.88), Enhanced is $199.99/year, and Pro is $599.99/year. Pick yearly at signup or text UPGRADE TO YEARLY any time to switch.
How do I upgrade or downgrade my plan?
Text UPGRADE or DOWNGRADE to your Kernl number. You’ll get a link to pick a new plan. Changes take effect immediately and we’ll prorate the difference on your next invoice.
How does Kernl pick what to read me?
You pick your news categories, your favorite YouTube channels, and your favorite podcasts at signup. Each morning, our AI scores new content from those sources by relevance, summarizes it, and reads you the top items first. The Split™ surfaces when stories are politically charged.
What languages does Kernl support?
English and French (Spanish late 2026), across calls, SMS, and email digests. Pick your preferred language at signup and we’ll deliver everything in that language.
Is my data secure?
Yes. Conversations and preferences are encrypted in transit and at rest. We never sell your data and only use it to personalize your digest. You can delete your account and all related data any time by texting DELETE.
